I know this has been brought up before, many of time, and many of places, but I just had to vent a little with this one. I just transferred my original DeathKnight from Argent Dawn to Feathermoon, and faction swapped her to Horde side. I hadn’t played on her since Firelands and needed to get her some upgrades, so I’ve been running LFR and LFD to get her Valor capped.
I’ve ran some pretty terrible LFD groups before, and this one was no where near as bad as it could have been. But I just had to call these guys out for their attitude and language. There was no need for it, and it only goes to show that you aren’t as mature as you think you are when you have to swear and bitch at complete strangers. Here’s the screenshot of the chat log:
I was already pulling the last boss when Ophiane made his last comment. I hit ignore on him mid pull and reported for language as well. When Loot was up for rolls, I just needed on what I could, then made my last comment and left group. I wasn’t about to give them the satisfaction of the last word.
Yes, they were right I could have turned on my filter, but you don’t have to be a genius to understand the connotations behind the random symbols that appear on screen when the filter is engaged. And really, this is putting the onus on the rest of us to filter out what they can’t control coming from their own mouths (and keyboards). And that’s not right.
Grow up, kiddies. You just might be surprised by how much you can enjoy others around you, and by how much others can enjoy you.

I, personally, would have most likely dropped group and let them deal with the boss. But then I’m kind of a jerk to ‘people’ like that. Missing loot and waiting for a debuff is a small price compared to not having to cooperate with immature morons. The fact that school is out for the summer probably means that LFD will be full of that kind of garbage for the next couple months, too.
Yeah, I was contemplating it, but we were on the last boss of the Dungeon and I figured since I ignored the one guy already, I wouldn’t have to deal with them again. But I was contemplating leaving in the middle of the fight, trust me! I just don’t have enough of the @$$Hole gene to pull that. :-/
